2022 Year in Review

As 2022 draws to a close, we’re taking a moment to look back. We opened RC Field Days nearly two years ago with just four finished courses. We now have more than a dozen different areas, with plans for further expansion.

This year we finished the Property Line Trail loop, added Chutes and Ladders, and opened up a new area (official name to be determined) behind The Table. Our 1/24 scale area received some major upgrades, including the addition of Tiny Peaks Adventure Park obstacles created by an awesome member of our RC community.

We’ve replaced parts, upgraded others, broken in some new rigs, and been continually inspired by the builds that hit our trails.

This year has brought some great memories…. late nights spent tearing up the trails at our spring and fall night crawls, testing everyone’s resilience at our Anniversary Competition (when the weather failed to cooperate), our first Car Show, and 24th scale courses in our last competition. Not to mention eagerly awaiting the first full weekend of each month to welcome our RC Field Days family back for Open Crawl.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this year. RC Field Days wouldn’t be the same without you. This may be a wrap on our 2022 season, but we’ll be back!

And if you haven’t been out yet, we invite you join us in 2023!

Here’s the inside scoop: We host RC Field Days on our farm. You can’t see us from the road, but we’re worth finding. We have a long gravel driveway that can cause folks to question if they are at the right place on their first trip out. The driveway ends at our large, white metal building. Our trails are located on a roughly 5 acre area of our property and most can be accessed with a short walk from the building or driveway.

We call our regular schedule our “Open Crawl” weekends. Pricing and additional details can be found here. These are the first full weekend of each month. That’s our way of saying that if the first day of the month falls on a Sunday, we’re open the next weekend. Our standard hours are 9 am – 5 pm on Saturday and noon – 5 pm on Sunday, but we often stay open a bit later in the summer. Additional events and competitions are posted on our Facebook page and the Upcoming Special Events page on our website.
